Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add a new investment to my portfolio?

Tap the + button at the bottom of the screen. Select the asset type (stocks, crypto, ETFs, etc.), search for your investment, enter the quantity and purchase price, then save.

Where does the price data come from?

We fetch real-time prices from CoinGecko for cryptocurrencies and Finnhub for stocks and ETFs. Prices are updated automatically when you open the app.

How do I use the AI insights feature?

Navigate to the Insights tab and tap the chat icon to start a conversation with our AI assistant. You can ask questions about your portfolio, get investment insights, or request analysis of your holdings. This feature is available to Premium subscribers.

Is my financial data secure?

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption for all data in transit and at rest. Your passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. We do not sell your data. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account and all associated data, please email us at ugo@echovault.me from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.

What's included in the Premium subscription?

Premium ($4.99/month) includes AI-powered portfolio insights, personalized investment recommendations, advanced analytics, and custom price alerts. Free users get full portfolio tracking, real-time prices, and basic analytics.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. Go to Settings on your iPhone, tap your Apple ID, then Subscriptions, find Briefcase and tap Cancel Subscription.

The app shows wrong prices. What should I do?

Pull down on any screen to refresh prices. If prices still seem incorrect, it may be a delay from our data providers. Crypto prices update every few minutes; stock prices may have a 15-minute delay during market hours.
